Manager Ian Bennett

Ian Bennett aka Benny has been managing the first team at shanklin for four seasons, and in that time the club has seen a historic treble winning season, a double winning season and last season league runners up (on goal difference). For the first three seasons he was assisted by warren Wetherick, and this season by Shane Grant.

Benny has seen a playing career that has seen him play at a high level for Brading Town and also stints at Seaview and Shanklin.

On leaving school Benny had schoolboy trials for Southampton but unfortunately never made the grade.

Still sometimes seen running out as a substitute Benny still think he has what it takes to play football…. the supporters however have their doubts.

Without doubt, the most successful manager that Shanklin FC has ever seen in its history, I am sure Ian has many years left to give to Shanklin in whatever position he wants.
